Tire Balancing
Steering wheel shaking at highway speed? That is a balance problem — precision computer balancing fixes it, at your place.
The symptom is familiar: smooth around town, then somewhere around 100 km/h the steering wheel starts to buzz, the seat vibrates, and the whole car feels nervous. Nine times out of ten, that is wheel balance. A tire and wheel assembly that is even slightly out of balance gets worse the faster it spins — and it is quietly chewing up your tires, your steering components, and your suspension bushings while it does it.
Sparky X does precision computer balancing at your location — the same computer balancer a shop uses, brought to your driveway. The wheel comes off, goes on the balancer, weights are placed precisely, and the assembly goes back on torqued to spec. The difference is you never leave home, and the test drive afterward is your own road, not a guess.

How We Do It
Balance changes over a tire's life, which is why a car that was smooth last year may not be now. Weights get thrown, tread wears unevenly, a rim kisses a pothole on the Gardiner or the 401 and picks up a slight bend, and suddenly the highway drive is a chore. Balancing is also not optional on new installations: any time a tire is mounted on a rim — new tires, off-rim changeovers, repairs — the assembly needs to be balanced before it goes back on the car.
A balancing visit is also a good inspection moment. With the wheels off, uneven wear patterns tell a story — alignment issues, worn suspension parts, under- or over-inflation — and we will show you what we see and tell you what it means, in plain language, whether or not it is work we do.
How It Works
-
1
Book the visit
Tell us the vehicle and the symptom — when the vibration starts and where you feel it.
-
2
We set up at your place
Wheels come off one corner at a time with proper lifting and support.
-
3
Balance and inspect
Each assembly is balanced; rims and tires get inspected while they are off.
-
4
Torqued and road-ready
Wheels back on, torqued to spec, pressures set — then your highway drive is the proof.

Good To Know
Where you feel the vibration points at the problem. Steering wheel shake usually means a front wheel is out of balance; vibration through the seat usually means a rear. Both matter: an out-of-balance rear wheel still wears its tire unevenly and still stresses the suspension — it just complains more quietly.
Balancing is not alignment, and neither fixes the other. If your tires are wearing on one edge or the car pulls to one side, that is alignment or suspension, and we will say so rather than sell you a balancing that cannot cure it. If the car is smooth in town and vibrates at speed with even tire wear, balancing is very likely your answer.
